Motril Andalucia
Motril is about 65 miles west along the coast from Almeria, and 35 miles east of Malaga and its airport. Located just off the main coast road between Almeria and Malaga where the N325 turns inland for Granada. Motril is a large town commercial town on the Costa tropical with 50,000 inhabitants (2006). Motril has busy commercial & fishing ports and a yachting Marina. There are ferries from here to Morocco. Motril's coastal strip has two beaches Playa Granada and Playa Poniente. Enjoy fresh seafood down at the marina or in Motril's restaurants. This area enjoys a sub-tropical microclimate with an average of 320 days of sunshine per year, making the seafront attractive for visitors all year round. Los Moriscos golf complex offers golf on the edge of the mediterranean with wonderful views along the coast as far as Almunecar.
