 Malgrat
de Mar is a town situated on the sunny
Costa Maresme shore on the Costa Brava, at the outlet of the
River Tordera. It has almost 3 miles of long, wide sandy beaches.
The old town is situated near the shore with some interesting
buildings, St. Nicolaus of Bari parish church and the la Costa
cathedral were both built in the XVI century. There is a castle
at Palafolls on a nearby hill, with beautiful views over the
surrounding area. Malgrat de Mar is a popular holiday resort
with excellent opportunities for watersports. |
