Cambrils is a town still very Spanish in character with narrow,
cobbled streets, ancient buildings and typical tapas bars. The
resort retains all the charm of a small fishing village and has
some world-class seafood restaurants. Life here revolves around
the harbour where the most prominent feature is an old defence
tower. The town has an area of detached houses sheltering below
the castle, an old fortress of the Baron of Vilafortuny, which
today is a holiday centre. There are 6 miles of beaches and it
is possible to walk the few miles along the pathway to Salou
without losing sight of the sea. |
